Willapa Valley is 10-0 against Pe Ell since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Willapa Valley Vikings will head out on the road to square off against the Pe Ell Trojans at 5:45 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Willapa Valley posted their biggest victory since December 14, 2023 on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Columbia Adventist Academy 48-14 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Willapa Valley.
Willapa Valley found their leader in underclassman Lauren Matlock, who scored 16 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Tylar Keeton, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pe Ell entered their tilt with Columbia Adventist Academy with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Pe Ell put the hurt on Columbia Adventist Academy with a sharp 54-32 win on Tuesday.
Willapa Valley's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Pe Ell, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Willapa Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Pe Ell in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 37-25. The rematch might be a little tougher for Willapa Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
