Parsons Christian Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 71-70 to Beaches Chapel. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Parsons Christian Academy couldn't quite close it out.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Solomon Vickers, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and 17 boards. Vickers is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Dylan Smith, who posted 17 points.

Parsons Christian Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Beaches Chapel, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, Parsons Christian Academy will head out to square off against Christ's Church Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The Lions' defense better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 62.4 points per game this season. As for Beaches Chapel, they will challenge Baldwin at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
