If the Macon County Tigers were feeling good off their 80-51 takedown of the Monterey Wildcats on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Macon County took a 44-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Livingston Academy on Tuesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Macon County in their matchups with Livingston Academy: they've now lost seven in a row.
Macon County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaydence Walrond, who scored 11 points, and Katie Shockley who scored 10 points. Walrond scored a full 35.5% of Macon County's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Macon County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Livingston Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Macon County will challenge Clay County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Livingston Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Clarkrange at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st.
