The Landon Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of Episcopal by a score of 52-50. Landon was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Episcopal apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, Landon still got an impressive performance from Francis Mannino, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 36% of Landon's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aristeides John Hobson, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Landon's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-11. As for Episcopal, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13.
Landon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-39 defeat vs. Bullis on the 9th. Episcopal has also already played their next matchup, a 65-51 defeat against Flint Hill on the 8th.
