The 2025–26 MaxPreps All Sac-Joaquin Section Boys Basketball Team is here.
Selections were based on several factors, including personal observation, individual league honors, statistical achievements and playoff success.
PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Romello Bruhn, Sr., Weston Ranch (Stockton)Finished his career with 3,084 career points, the second-most in Sac-Joaquin Section history. This year alone, he surpassed names like Lonzo Ball, Jason Kidd, Jrue Holiday, Demar Derozan and Tracy Murray on his way to 12th place on California's all-time list. Bruhn led the section in scoring for the second straight year at 27.8 points per game and was a McDonald's All American nominee.
JUNIOR OF THE YEAR

Modesto Christian (Modesto)Team high 19.6 points per game while shooting 39 percent from the 3-point line with 105 triples. He helped Modesto Christian extend its record of Sac-Joaquin Section championships with 23rd in 2026.
SOPHOMORE OF THE YEARParks Weaver,
FolsomHelped the Bulldogs to a 29-7 and their first state championship appearance since 2014. Averaged 14.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.5 steals and dazzled in the state final with 16 points and four rebounds.
FRESHMAN OF THE YEARJuleeyan Williams,
Monterey Trail (Elk Grove)An instant impact player for the Mustangs, averaging 21.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.8 steals — all team highs. Scored 27 points in his first varsity game and had two instances of a season-high 41 points.
COACH OF THE YEARMike Wall, FolsomDespite falling in the Division I section semifinal, Wall led the Bulldogs to the Division 1 state championship game. Folsom's 29 wins were the most for the program since its last state title game 12 years earlier. Wall has more than 500 coaching victories in his career.
FIRST TEAMKai Bradford, Sr., McClatchy (Sacramento)Led an 11-win turnaround from the previous season for the Lions with 14.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 3.0 steals and two triple-doubles.
Joven Dulay, Sr., FolsomThe top scorer on the top-ranked team in the section averaged 16.3 points and 5.2 rebounds and helped the Bulldogs reach the Division I state final.
Andre Gomez, Sr., Grant (Sacramento) One of the best inside-outside scorers in the region, Gomez put up 20.1 points and 6.0 rebounds for the 16-11 Pacers.
Siincere Hudson, Jr, Modesto ChristianAveraged 16.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 7.4 assists, which was second-best in the section. Posted a team-high 17 points in lifting the Crusaders to a record-extending 23rd section title.
Manno Jenkins, Sr., Natomas (Sacramento) Finished his career with 2,055 points and helped the Nighthawks reach three consecutive section finals appearances and win their first section title since 2014.
James McGee, Jr., Beyer (Modesto)The Western Athletic Conference Co-MVP led the Patriots to back-to-back 25-win seasons and their first trip to the section finals since 2018.
William Phillips, Fr., SacramentoThe 6-foot-8 newcomer made an instant impact for the Dragons, who won their first league championship since 2018.
Kannon Rector, Jr., Placer (Auburn)Placer's engine at point guard averaged 17.0 points with 4.9 rebounds and 5.8 assists and 2.0 steals. Flirted with a triple-double in the section championship game.
Aiden Rollins, Sr., Franklin (Elk Grove)Leaves as the program's all-time leading scorer with 2,049 career points. As a senior, Rollins averaged 22.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists for the 28-win Wildcats.
Emmett Rose, Sr., Placer Led the section with 130 3-pointers, including four in the Division III section championship win, the program's first since 1988.
Baron Sabir, Jr., Sheldon (Sacramento)Helped Sheldon reach its 13th section championship game while averaging 24.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.
Jack Shull, Sr., FolsomHad a breakout season with 15.3 points and 4.1 rebounds for the state runner-up Bulldogs. Had 31 points to vault Folsom into the state championship game.
Max VanLaningham, Sr., Woodcreek (Roseville)The 6-foot-9 Long Beach State signee averaged 17.7 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.6 blocks and led the Timberwolves to their first outright league title since 2020.
Myles Wiggins, Sr., Destiny Christian Academy (Sacramento)The 6-foot-6 forward helped the Lions to a 24-9 record and had 11 points in the D-II section final, leading Destiny to its first blue banner since 2017.
Brandon Williams, Sr., Jesuit (Carmichael)The Marauders point guard helped his team reach the section Division I championship game for a third time in four years.
