After three games on the road, Robertsdale is heading back home. They will take on The Baldwin County Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Robertsdale fell victim to Mary G. Montgomery's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Vikings 56-0. While losing is never fun, Robertsdale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Mary G. Montgomery is ranked tenth).
Meanwhile, Baldwin County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. The game between Baldwin County and St. Paul's Episcopal wasn't particularly close, with Baldwin County falling 44-25.
Robertsdale's defeat was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-0 Saraland and 13-1 Theodore (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 57.4% over those games). As for Baldwin County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
Robertsdale suffered a grim 51-27 defeat to Baldwin County in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Robertsdale have more luck at home instead of on the road?
