Academy of Our Lady of Peace managed to slip by Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pilots came up short against the Patriots on Friday, falling 3-0. The Pilots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
While Academy of Our Lady of Peace was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Christian's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20, 27-25.

Despite the defeat, Academy of Our Lady of Peace had strong showings from Amanda Guzman, who had 11 digs and one assist, and Dylan Wilson, who had six kills, six digs, three aces, and one block. Wilson has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last 11 times she's played. Player #20 also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.
Meanwhile, Sage Creek lost 3-0 to Del Norte on Thursday. The Bobcats have struggled against the Nighthawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-15, 25-11.
Sage Creek's loss dropped their record down to 17-21. As for Academy of Our Lady of Peace, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-10.
Academy of Our Lady of Peace skirted past Sage Creek 2-1 when the teams last played back in September. Will the Pilots repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
