Humboldt gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Union City Golden Tornadoes by a score of 74-67. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Tornadoes, too.

Coming up, Humboldt is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Gibson County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Union City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crockett County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
