The Lincoln Golden Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Southside 75-21. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lincoln has scored all season.
It was another big night for Grace Anne rose, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds for Southside. Another player making a difference was Madison Shaw, who scored 14 points.
Lincoln's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Southside, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will take on the Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Glencoe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday. As for Southside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hokes Bluff will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Panthers are ranked 41st).
