The Legacy Longhorns will head out on the road to challenge the Del Sol Dragons at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Legacy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though Desert Oasis scored an imposing 59 points on Monday, Legacy still came out on top. Legacy snuck past Desert Oasis with a 63-59 victory.
Rahjon Chambers continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Duke, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Del Sol pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 63-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Basic. Del Sol has struggled against Basic recently, as their game on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Legacy pushed their record up to 18-7 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Del Sol, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Legacy against Del Sol in their previous matchup on January 2nd as the squad secured a 80-41 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Legacy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
