Baseball Recap: Bishop Shanahan Sets Scoring Season-High Against Oxford

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Shanahan). They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Oxford Hornets 12-11. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 5-2 win the Hornets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Brody Scullin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Scullin was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Owen McGrory was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Michael Cleary was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-5.

Bishop Shanahan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Bishop Shanahan's record is now 7-3. As for Oxford, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-8.
