Lakeview has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the South Range Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Lakeview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
Lakeview struggled with assists on Friday (Howland had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Lakeview might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Howland an easy 66-41 win. The loss was Lakeview's first of the season.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Ryan Gee, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Kyle Senkowitz, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, South Range waltzed into their matchup Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They were the clear victor by a 71-45 margin over Struthers. South Range's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Lakeview's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-1. As for South Range, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Lakeview ended up a good deal behind South Range when the teams last played back in January, losing 51-33. Thankfully for Lakeview, Ayden Leon (who scored 18 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
