The Woodlands has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while College Park has won six straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Highlanders will take on the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
The Woodlands' defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Cleveland to the tune of 69-0. Given the Highlanders' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Indians are ranked 967th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

The Woodlands got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Daulton out in front who threw for 114 yards and three TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes. What's more, Daulton racked up 145.5 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lincoln Halsey, who rushed for 82 yards and one touchdown on only six carries.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led College Park over Caney Creek in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Cavaliers blew the Panthers out of the water with a 52-6 final score. With the Cavaliers ahead 35-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
The Woodlands better focus on containing Antonio Booker and Camden Hughes as the pair were huge in College Park's win. Booker gained 101 total yards and four touchdowns, while Hughes threw for 238 yards and three TDs while completing 87.5% of his passes. Jordan Styles did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 100 receiving yards.
College Park was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 201 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 153 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.
College Park's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for The Woodlands, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Daulton and Hughes. Daulton just won't slow down this season and has thrown 11 touchdowns (and no picks) while averaging 189.2 passing yards per game. Hughes has been a dominant force too and has thrown 24 touchdowns (and and only 2 picks) while averaging 261.7 passing yards per game.
Everything came up roses for The Woodlands against College Park in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 66-20 win. In that contest, the Highlanders amassed a halftime lead of 66-20, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
