After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Langston Hughes, the South Paulding Spartans were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 40-31 victory over East Paulding. That's another feather in the cap for South Paulding, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
South Paulding found their leader in underclassman Lindsey Henry, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Vandyke, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
South Paulding is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-14 record this season. As for East Paulding, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Paulding will take on Paulding County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Paulding County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for East Paulding, East Paulding and Langston Hughes will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Langston Hughes is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
