The Mott Corsairs had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 41-34 win over Franklin on Saturday. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Kalieb Osborne continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 218 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.9 yards per carry, and also throwing for 303 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.5% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Geno Seets, who picked up 193 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
The victory makes it two in a row for Mott and bumps their season record up to 9-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.0 points per game. As for Franklin, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.
Mott will head out on the road to face off against Seaholm at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Seaholm will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
