The Sahuaro Cougars will look to defend their home court on Monday against the American Leadership Academy Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Sahuaro comes in on five and American Leadership Academy on three.
Sahuaro has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 24 points or more this season. They took their matchup at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 79-52 win over Salpointe Catholic.
Sahuaro found their leader in underclassman Cisco Llamas, who scored 33 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds. The match was Llamas' eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Nick Ponds, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists.
Meanwhile, American Leadership Academy didn't have too much trouble with Arcadia at home on Thursday as they won 61-42. 61 seems to be a good number for American Leadership Academy as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Sahuaro's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for American Leadership Academy, they have yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 6-2 record.
