Basketball Recap: Sylvan-Lucas Has No Trouble Against Pike Valley

Sylvan-Lucas won the last time they faced Pike Valley and things went their way on Friday too. The Sylvan-Lucas Mustangs enjoyed a cozy 51-34 victory over the Pike Valley Panthers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bailey Odell, who posted seven points along with five boards and three steals. Breanna Reeves was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Sylvan-Lucas' win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Pike Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Sylvan-Lucas will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Tescott on January 10, 2025. After both having extra time off, Pike Valley and Peabody-Burns will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
