Amelia County was the team made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from seventh to first in 2A Conference 34. The Raiders defeated Charles City 64-26 earlier in the week.
Amelia County took down the Panthers 64-26 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Prince Edward County's dynamic duo of Cleon Watkins and De'Ron Baugh proved tough for Altavista Combined School to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Watkins threw for 95 yards and Baugh had 44 yards receiving. DJ Williams helped Prince Edward County's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 26 yards.
The Eagles' dynamic duo of Watkins and Baugh proved to be unstoppable against the Colonels, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Deion Mosley provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Bluestone lost to Park View.
Baugh was the best wideout in the league this week as Prince Edward County lost to Altavista Combined School.
Watkins put up the best numbers in passing as James Ford's team fell to the Colonels.
Mosley was the best running back in the league this week. In 11 carries, he ran for 146 yards as the Barons fell to Altavista Combined School. Teammate Josh Briggs added to the ground attack by rushing for 43 yards.
Leading 2A Conference 34 in both passing and receiving yards, Prince Edward County's Watkins and Baugh have proven to be a lethal combination. Watkins has thrown for 95 yards this season, while Baugh has 2 catches for 44 yards. Mosley from Bluestone leads the league in rushing with 146 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Waverly Jackson's team takes on Greensville County. At the moment, the Barons are in seventh, while the Eagles are in fourth.
Bluestone made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,257 from 10,568. The improvement was the result of 42-36 victory over the Barons last week.
