The Tri-Township Tigers will be home for the holidays to greet the North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri-Township will be looking to keep their 15-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Tri-Township scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They breezed by Oregon-Davis at home to the tune of 64-35. Tri-Township might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six games by 21 points or more this season.
Tri-Township got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was ADDISON HENDRIXSON out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. HENDRIXSON is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addie Gorski, who scored 18 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, North Judson-San Pierre humbled Culver Community with a 46-19 victory. 46 seems to be a good number for North Judson-San Pierre as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
It was another big night for Kyleigh Lehiy, who almost dropped a triple-double on 11 points, ten rebounds, and nine steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Raegan Hensley was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
Tri-Township's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for North Judson-San Pierre, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Tuesday's contest is shaping up to be a scrappy match: Tri-Township have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 28.1 rebounds per game. It's a different story for North Judson-San Pierre, though, as they've been averaging only 34.7 rebounds per game. Given Tri-Township's sizeable advantage in that area, North Judson-San Pierre will need to find a way to close that gap.
Tri-Township might still be hurting after the 58-33 defeat they got from North Judson-San Pierre when the teams last played back in December of 2019. Thankfully for Tri-Township, Lilliann Frasure (who scored 31 points along with five rebounds and five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
