A big 21-point first quarter helped carry
Lake Oswego (Ore.) to a 41-0 victory over West Linn (Ore.) on Saturday.
The Lakers scored on a touchdown run, a touchdown run by
Spencer Anderson and a
Justen Ruppe touchdown pass to
Connor Griffin in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, Lake Oswego led 38-0 at the half.
LO expanded its lead to 41 points entering the fourth quarter. The Lakers' lone score in the quarter came on a field goal by
Griffin Graves.
With the win Lake Oswego extended its winning streak to five games. LO defeated the Skyhawks 28-21 last week.
Griffin played well for the Lakers in the victory. The senior wide receiver caught one touchdown. He has now scored three touchdowns on the season.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 28-0 win for Lake Oswego.
West Linn (2-3) will play a 6A Three Rivers game against Clackamas next week, while Lake Oswego (5-0) will take on Canby also in a 6A Three Rivers game.
