Indianapolis Arsenal Technical walked away with a 63-53 victory over Indianapolis Shortridge. Given Indianapolis Arsenal Technical's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Indianapolis Shortridge is ranked 339th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Devon Craig, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and six steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elexander Harris, who scored 11 points along with six steals.
Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jalen Yates, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Adam Taylor-James, who scored nine points.
Indianapolis Arsenal Technical has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
Indianapolis Arsenal Technical will play host again and welcome Warren Central, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, Indianapolis Shortridge and Bethesda Christian will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Bethesda Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Indianapolis Shortridge likes a good challenge.
