The Commerce Tigers waltzed into their matchup Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 57-49 victory over Tallulah Falls. That's another feather in the cap for Commerce, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Commerce got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyler Sorrells out in front who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Sorrells has scored at least 25% of Commerce's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Peters, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Commerce's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-11. As for Tallulah Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
Commerce and Elbert County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Tallulah Falls, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Prince Avenue Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
