Claysburg-Kimmel has won 18 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while West Branch has won 18 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Claysburg-Kimmel 1.7, West Branch 1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Tuesday, Claysburg-Kimmel was able to grind out a solid win over Tussey Mountain, taking the game 6-1. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won nine in a row.
Launa Musselman made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Claysburg-Kimmel hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .349. However, it's not like West Branch struggles in that department as they've averaged .321. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Claysburg-Kimmel's way against West Branch in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Claysburg-Kimmel made off with a 9-3 victory. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
