The Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down DSST: Cedar 70-53. The win was a breath of fresh air for Eagle Ridge Academy as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Aiden Wanrow was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 23 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 13 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Garcia, who scored 15 points along with five steals.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Simon Alexander, who scored 13 points. Ilyas Elmi was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Eagle Ridge Academy's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11. As for DSST: Cedar, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
Eagle Ridge Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Fury at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Forge Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups. As for DSST: Cedar, they will head out on the road to challenge the Ocelotls at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Rocky Mountain Prep SMART is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
