Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Faith Christian). They enjoyed a cozy 74-59 victory over the Greater Vision Academy Lions on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.
Faith Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Collin Frye led the charge by going 6-for-9 from beyond the arc to rack up 18 points and eight rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Frye now owns an excellent 40.5% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Daniel, who posted 21 points along with six boards and five assists.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ari Love, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Bradun Rogers, who earned 11 points and six assists.
Faith Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Greater Vision Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
