The Providence-St. Mel Knights lost against the Loyola Academy Ramblers back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Providence-St. Mel was dealt a 57-13 loss at the hands of Loyola Academy. Providence-St. Mel has not had much luck with Loyola Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Providence-St. Mel still got an impressive performance from Robert Hughes Jr., who scored 11 points.
Providence-St. Mel's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Loyola Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Providence-St. Mel will be playing at home against Marmion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Loyola Academy, they will square off against Saint Ignatius College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Saint Ignatius College Prep is ranked 134th, while Loyola Academy is ranked 157th).
