Tumwater has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Mark Morris Monarchs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Tumwater was able to grind out a solid win over Centralia, taking the game 58-46. Given Tumwater's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while Centralia is ranked 294th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tumwater got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sahara Anthony III out in front who scored 18 points along with four steals. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Henry Wilson, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Mark Morris scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Fort Vancouver 80-54. The victory was just what Mark Morris needed coming off of a 69-47 defeat in their prior match.
Tumwater's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Mark Morris, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
Tumwater came up short against Mark Morris when the teams last played back in March, falling 60-51. Can Tumwater avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
