Blue Valley Northwest's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jake Fritz led the charge by scoring 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fritz has scored all season. Jaxon Klein was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Van Horn's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Tuesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 56-34 walloping at the hands of Grain Valley.
Blue Valley Northwest's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Van Horn, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
