Hayden Myers was his usual excellent self, rushing for 300 yards and four TDs while picking up 9.7 yards per carry. River Bluff is 4-1 when Myers posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 1-4 otherwise. Darius Carter also helped out with an impressive 99 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: River Bluff was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 338 rushing yards. They are 3-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
When it comes to explaining why Lexington lost, don't look at Markel Byrd. Despite the final result, he rushed for 112 yards, and also picked up 59 receiving yards and one touchdown.
