Make it ten blowout wins for the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks this season. They breezed by Brushton-Moira at home to the tune of 69-27 on Tuesday. With Tupper Lake ahead 39-16 at the half, the game was all but over already.
It was another big night for Thomas Peterson, who scored 29 points along with six assists and six rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Corneau, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Tupper Lake's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3. As for Brushton-Moira, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.
Tupper Lake won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Larries at 7:15 p.m. on January 31st. Hopefully St. Lawrence Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Saturday. Brushton-Moira does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
