While South Lake's win against Lincoln wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cavaliers won by a run and slipped past the Abes 5-4. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cavaliers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

South Lake's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Lincoln, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, South Lake will be playing at home against Madison at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Cavaliers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lincoln, they will take on Eastpointe at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Shamrocks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.11 runs per game on average), something the Abes will no doubt try to take advantage of.
