1A District 6 recap September 10, 2013
Hilliard moved up to 319 from 367 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 1A District 6. The Red Flashes climbed the ranks as a result of besting Arlington Country Day 16-0.
Trenton took down Branford 60-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Jacob Johnson and Austin Ritchey gave Bell a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Johnson threw for 33 yards, while Ritchey ran for 326 yards. Justin Terry also contributed to the rushing game with 79 yards on the ground.

Johnson put up the best numbers in passing as Joey Whittington's team beat the Blue Wave. Johnson's favorite target this week was Christian Whiting, who caught 2 passes for 25 yards.
Ritchey was a passing and rushing force as the Bulldogs bested P.K. Yonge.

Doug Allison's team's Bryce Jenkins and Robert Weinberg have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 1A District 6 in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Jenkins has thrown for 117 yards this season, while Weinberg has 3 catches for 90 yards. Ritchey from Bell leads the league in rushing with 578 yards.
The Tigers led the league in scoring this week after putting up 60 points on the Buccaneers.
