After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Jerod Johnson in the second quarter,
Carteret (N.J.) led 7-0 at the half.
The Ramblers expanded their lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. Carteret scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Johnson.
With the win CHS extended its winning streak to six games. The Ramblers defeated the Barrons 33-12 last week.
Bishop Ahr (Edison, N.J.)'s
Kaysaan Neal played well. The junior halfback caught one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to two on the year.
The Trojans came in surrendering 13.5 points per game this season. Bishop Ahr struggled against Carteret's offense, which entered the game scoring 39.4 points per game. CHS had given up an average of 10.4 points prior to the contest. BA's 13 points were right around its season average of 11.0 per game.
The Ramblers also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 26-23.
The defeat comes as a step back for Bishop Ahr, which notched a 30-6 victory over New Brunswick in its previous outing. The loss snapped the Edison school's 2-game winning streak.
In a Greater Middlesex - White game next week Carteret (6-0) takes on Kennedy Memorial, and Bishop Ahr (4-3) will go up against Woodbridge also in a Greater Middlesex - White game.
