The Escalante Lobos had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Dulce with a 39-35 win on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Escalante also won the last time the pair played on January 4th.
It was another big night for Luka Torrez, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Damien Baeza, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Escalante's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-6. As for Dulce, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Escalante will take on Questa at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Questa is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. Dulce will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on McCurdy at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th.
