Freedom hasn't had much luck against Wharton recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Patriots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Wharton took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Freedom, who comes in off a win.

If Hillsborough wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Freedom, they should've done a better job of containing Averi Addison. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Terriers on Thursday for which the team can thank Addison, who had 18 digs and ten assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last 17 games she's played dating back to last season.
Freedom's got stronger as the match went on, holding Hillsborough to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-15, 25-7.
Meanwhile, Wharton suffered their biggest defeat since September 10th on Wednesday. They came up short against Strawberry Crest, falling 3-0.
While Wharton had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-23, 25-18.
Freedom will have to keep a close watch on Lauren Galfond and Maliyah Battle, a pair of players who had a big impact on Wharton's prior game. Galfond had 16 assists and four digs, while Battle had ten digs and two aces.
Freedom has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Wharton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
