The Williams Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 57-41 to Western Alamance. If Williams hoped to take revenge for the 59-40 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Despite the loss, Williams still got an impressive performance from Jordyn Taylor, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Taylor hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Alaiyah Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Williams' defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Western Alamance, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williams will take on Falls Lake at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. Falls Lake will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive. As for Western Alamance, they will head out on the road to face off against South Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. South Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Western Alamance in North Carolina (South Central is ranked 24th, while Western Alamance is ranked 128th).
