The Landstown Eagles's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They took down Ocean Lakes 49-31. The victory was just what Landstown needed coming off of a 51-20 loss in their prior match.
Despite the defeat, Ocean Lakes saw an underclassman step up: Samara Williams scored no points along with 17 rebounds. Williams has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Allison Ragudo was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Landstown's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-11. As for Ocean Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Landstown will take on Princess Anne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Princess Anne presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Landstown in Virginia (Princess Anne is ranked 13th, while Landstown is ranked 280th). As for Ocean Lakes, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bayside at 7:00 p.m.
