It's playoff time, and South Tahoe had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the Spring Creek Spartans a 4-0 shutout on Monday. South Tahoe might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by four goals or more this season.

They hit Spring Creek with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sally Monroe, Finley Mathews, Lillia Verduzco, and Lola Castillo.

South Tahoe's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those ten matchups. As for Spring Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11-1.

Looking ahead, South Tahoe will take on Truckee at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Spring Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
