The Orestimba Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 26 points or more this season. They breezed by Hilmar on the road to the tune of 70-20. That looming 70-20 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Orestimba yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orestimba to victory, but perhaps none more so than Angel Reynoso, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Marin dominguez, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Hilmar's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaron Solorio, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Orestimba and bumps their season record up to 7-2. As for Hilmar, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Orestimba and Los Banos will face off at 2:30 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Los Banos will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 909th, while Orestimba is ranked 425th). Hilmar won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Summerville at 5:30 p.m. on December 16th.
