Softball Recap: First Baptist Academy Takes a Loss

First Baptist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish, falling 10-4. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Fighting Irish when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

First Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Knoxville Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. First Baptist Academy will take on King's Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. King's Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.6 runs per game on average), something First Baptist Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Knoxville Catholic, they will challenge Oak Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Knoxville Catholic is facing Oak Ridge at the right time seeing as Oak Ridge is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
