Lewis-Palmer has gone 8-2 against Discovery Canyon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rangers will take on the Thunder at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Lewis-Palmer not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2025 (when they won 14-2). Everything went their way against Cheyenne Mountain as they made off with a 15-4 victory.
Lewis-Palmer got a massive performance out of Garrett Hennis, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Hennis has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Gilbreath, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Lewis-Palmer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cheyenne Mountain only posted an OBP of .417.
Meanwhile, Discovery Canyon entered their tilt with Liberty on Monday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Lancers. The result was nothing new for the Thunder, who have now won ten games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Adam Aubain looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jake Cody was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Cole Teltschik, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.
Lewis-Palmer's record now sits at 5-10. As for Discovery Canyon, their record is now 12-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Lewis-Palmer hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Discovery Canyon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Lewis-Palmer was able to grind out a solid win over Discovery Canyon when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 6-3. Will the Rangers repeat their success, or do the Thunder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
