Basketball Recap: Montezuma Beats H-L-V for Their Fourth Straight Win

Montezuma had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the H-L-V Warriors as they made off with a 66-45 win. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 21 points or more this season.

Montezuma's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for H-L-V, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montezuma will head out to take on Sigourney at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Sigourney will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Montezuma surely won't give up without a fight. As for H-L-V, they will venture away from home to challenge Iowa Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
