They walked away with a 72-60 win over Franklin Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Micah Smith was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. AJ Seay was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six assists.
When it comes to explaining why Franklin Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jacob Alicot. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Alicot has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Robert Guishard, who scored 16 points along with nine rebounds.
Sheridan Hills Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Franklin Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sheridan Hills Christian will take on Cushman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cushman has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Franklin Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Avant Garde Academy at 6:30 p.m. Avant Garde Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
