After soaring to 36 points the game before, The Big Valley Christian Lions were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were beaten by Stone Ridge Christian 35-7. Big Valley Christian lost against Stone Ridge Christian in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 37-6 score last time.
Big Valley Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Grabowski, who gained 83 total yards and a touchdown.
Big Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Stone Ridge Christian, their victory was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-1.
Big Valley Christian will head out on the road to face off against Western Sierra Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Western Sierra Collegiate Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Millennium at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Millennium is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
