Bryan Station extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 10-7. They came up short against the Tates Creek Commodores, falling 13-4. The Defenders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Commodores apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.
Karsyn Rockvoan was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Rockvoan was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Carrington Clark made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Adrienn Arcure was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
As for Tates Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games.
Like Bryan Station, Tates Creek also got a great game from a two-way player: Alexis Sempsrott. On the mound, she pitched seven innings while giving up four earned runs off 11 hits. Sempsrott has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Tates Creek got a massive performance out of Megan Predmore, who went 4-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those four hits gave Predmore a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Bazzell, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bryan Station will welcome Henry Clay at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tates Creek, they will square off against Lafayette at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
