It was a good run, but Caldwell unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Central Christian Cougars by a score of 2-1. The Bluejays were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Ella Risley paced Caldwell's offense, picking up 16 kills. Risley got some help from Ava Newell and her 21 assists. Risley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Caldwell now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Central Christian, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-9.

Caldwell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Norwich on the 4th. As for Central Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against South Haven on the 4th.
