Auburn is 0-3 against Stadium since April of 2024 but things could change on Monday. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Auburn has given up an average of 19.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Auburn came up short against Kentwood on Thursday, falling 19-3.
Kellyn Lozier was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those doubles marked the first that she has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayah Goodfellow-Miller, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Stadium ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Kentridge 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since April 23, 2025.
Lily Hart made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ella Enciso, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Kylie Mick was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base.
Stadium lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Stadium now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Auburn, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
Auburn's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's contest. The Trojans have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Stadium, though, as they've been averaging only 0.6 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Auburn continue to outrun the ball?
Auburn suffered a grim 19-0 defeat to Stadium when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
