Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Shaker). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Niskayuna Silver Warriors 90-59. The win was nothing new for the Bison as they're now sitting on 13 straight.
Shaker's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayla Geter, who went 9 of 13 en route to 22 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Geter now owns an excellent 40.5% three-point shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Sofia Lanni, who went 10 for 17 on her way to 21 points along with eight steals and six assists.
Geter wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Shaker was working as a unit and finished the game with 28 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.
Niskayuna lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Natalie Birmingham, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. Birmingham is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games she's played. Ava Roemer was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to five assists and three steals.
