In what's become a running theme this season, the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 91-34 victory over Parishville-Hopkinton at home. Tupper Lake's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Tupper Lake had a senior duo take command as Thomas Peterson dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 assists and Michael Corneau scored 29 points along with six rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Corneau has scored all season. Garrett Pelkey was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Tupper Lake's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.14 points. As for Parishville-Hopkinton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Tupper Lake won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Edwards-Knox at 7:15 p.m. on January 17th. Edwards-Knox will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 740th, while Tupper Lake is ranked 177th). As for Parishville-Hopkinton, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Colton-Pierrepont at 7:15 p.m. Hopefully Colton-Pierrepont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Saturday.
