This season hasn't been kind to the Centura Centurions, who are still winless after their 11th game. The New Year welcomed they with a 55-28 whooping from Gothenburg on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Centura has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Centura had strong showings from Weston Kroeger, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds, and Barrett Fries, who scored nine points. Fries scored a full 32.1% of Centura's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Centura bumped their record down to 0-11 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Gothenburg, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Cozad the next time they take the court. Gothenburg will host Cozad at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Centura will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
